2020 - Transforming Ideas About Firm Culture

Cultural transformation is a process of creating a workplace where all employees and clients are treated with dignity and respect and are provided the opportunity for success. A positive firm culture can contribute towards attracting and retaining talent, fostering employee engagement, increasing career satisfaction, and inspiring outstanding contributions.

AIA New York State hosted an interactive dialogue on transforming ideas about firm culture where a diverse panel discussed how firm cultures have evolved to become more inclusive; how to identify existing barriers that must be overcome to allow for increased opportunities for justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI); how mentorship and leadership opportunities promote career advancement; how to ensure you are reaching the broadest pool of candidates when hiring and more.
